A few dates from the history of the Association:

1990 - establishment of the Association for Helping Disabled Children "Step by Step" in Zamość,
1992 - Opening of the Rehabilitation and Therapeutic Centre for Disabled Children in Zamość within the structure of the Provincial Complex Hospital,
1992 - Establishment of the Local Circle in Biłgoraj,
1993 - Establishment of the Rehabilitation and Therapy Centre for Disabled Children in Biłgoraj,
1995 - opening of the newly built part of the Centre with a swimming pool, hydrotherapy and a gym,
1998 - organization of the conference "Society's duties towards disabled children and youth",
1999 - establishment of Occupational Therapy Workshops in Biłgoraj,
1999 - establishment of the Rehabilitation and Therapeutic Centre for Disabled Children in Zamość. The Association takes over the management and financing of the centre,
1999 - The Association was awarded a distinction in the 1st edition of the "Pro Publico Bono" Competition for the Civil Initiative of the Decade 1989-1999,
2000 - organization of the conference "Step by step towards equal opportunities - The disabled in Poland, Ukraine and European Union countries",
2001 - establishment of a Non-public Special Kindergarten,
2003 - Opening of Occupational Therapy Workshops in Zamość,
2004 - obtaining the status of a Public Benefit Organization,
2005 - establishing of the local branch in Hrubieszów,
2005 - organizing International Conference "3 in 1" - civic initiatives as an opportunity to develop a system of integrated rehabilitation, educational and social activities for people with early brain injury,
2006 - launching Social Activation Centre in Zamość,
2006 - organising International Conference: "Possibilities of therapy for children with brain injury aged from 1 to 6 and support for their families",
2007 - beginning of the organisation of the Therapeutic Park in Bondyrze,
2008 - holiday camps for independent living in Bondyrz,
2008 - visit of disabled English and Ukrainian youth in Zamość,
2010 - Jubilee year - XX years of the Association activity (download the file),
2011 - establishing "Step by Step" Non-Public Special Schools Complex in Zamość,
2011 - opening of the Social Activation Centre 2 in Białobrzegi nr 19,
2011 - opening of the "Step on" Community Self-help Centre in Białobrzegi no 19,
2011 - finishing the construction of the Social Activation Centre for the Disabled in Białobrzegi 57,
2012 - The Social Activation Centre for People with Disabilities in Białobrzegi 57 is named after Jan and Zofia Kulakowski,
2012 - Completion of renovation and modernization of the Centre for Disabled People building in Białobrzegi,
2012 - Extension of the Therapeutic and Recreational Park in Bondyrze,
2016 - European Voluntary Service (EVS) at "Step by Step",
2016 - Death of Dr. Zofia Kulakowska who had been working with us since 1991,
2017 - Signing of a cooperation agreement between the Pető Institute in Budapest and the Association,
2018 - Intensive development of Polish-Hungarian cooperation: youth exchanges, staff training,
2019 - "Life Through Life" - charity action, fundraising for the construction of the Family House,
2019 - Publishing a publication entitled: "Let's get to know each other. Polish-Hungarian inspirations not only for teachers". (download file),
2020 - Completion of the construction of the first stage of the FAMILY HOUSE Therapy and Care Center - the new headquarters of the Occupational Therapy Workshop,
2020 - Signing of grant agreement in PL-BY-UA Cross-Border Co-operation Programme for implementation of the Equal Opportunities Borderland Project,
2020 - Jubilee Year - XXX years of the Association activity (download the file),
2021 - Commencement of construction of the second stage of the Therapy and Care Centre FAMILY HOUSE - DPS
