Project "Borderland of Equal Opportunities" is implemented in the framework of the Cross-Border Cooperation Programme Poland-Belarus-Ukraine 2014-2020 by Step by Step Association for Aid to Disabled Children in Zamosc and Громадська організація "Товариство дітей-інвалідів батьків та їх друзів "Зоря надії"" УКРАЇНА
The aim of the project is to provide 108 people with the most severe disabilities from the Zamosc region
and Krzemieniec region integrated social support, including housing and rehabilitation through development of social infrastructure in Zamość and Krzemieniec area.
In the course of implementation (01.10.2020 - 30.09.2022) the Applicant from Zamość and the Partner from Ukraine will establish a model rehabilitation and social center for 80 people with multiple disabilities
in the area of cross-border cooperation program (city of Krzemieniec in Ukraine) through the development
development and modification to local conditions of an integrated rehabilitation system as a method of work
with people with significant disabilities. The implementers will complete the construction of this system in the Zamosc region by providing housing opportunities for adults currently in the care of aging parents (28 people in the first stage).
The project will benefit:
-80 children, youth, adults with disabilities currently deprived of any comprehensive support from the Krzemieniec region, who will gain access to integrated rehabilitation and social support in the center in Krzemieniec.
-28 adults with multiple disabilities from the Zamosc region, who will gain access to a Family Home that will meet their specific needs by offering them social and activation services.
Project recipients will receive support in 2 constructed centers, providing new social services adapted to the needs of people with the most severe disabilities. The project will respond to the needs of 30% of all people with the most severe disabilities living in the project area.
The project will benefit therapeutic staff from Poland and Ukraine (50 people) prepared
during project activities to work in an integrated improvement system modified according to local conditions.
Project value: EUR 2,190,000.00, including co-financing: EUR 1,950,000.00 from European Union funds (European Neighbourhood Instrument)
