Non-public Special Kindergarten for Handicapped Children in Zamość
The Non-public Special Kindergarten for Handicapped Children in Zamość was the first educational institution established by the "Step by Step" Association in 2001 and the Complex of Non-public Special Schools started its activity in 2011. The pupils of the Complex of Schools include children and youth with motor disabilities, including aphasia and coupled disabilities. There is a kindergarten, elementary school and preparatory school. Integrated educational-rehabilitation-social activities are based on the principles of the Directed Learning System. Pupils and students simultaneously benefit from rehabilitation, speech therapy, psychological and occupational therapy, alternative and assistive communication (AAC), development of thinking skills (according to Reuven-Feuerstain methods), and others. Our pupils practice the Paralympic sport discipline boccia, in which they achieve high scores in Poland.
